Tubeline Seminar- Graber Services Lockridge Iowa March 2016
We had a great turnout last week in Iowa at Graber Services for a seminar presented by Tubeline Manufacturing featuring speaker Bernard Adam. Bernard Adam is a farmer and presenter for Tubeline Manufacturing in Elmira, Ontario and has been wrapping hay for over 15 years. Tubeline is the go to manufacturer when you talk about in line wrapping. Tubeline recently came out with their new 3 point hitch single wrapper, so the benefits of wrapping can be transferred to single wrapped bales as well.
A reason for the seminars every year is to give dealers and farmers alike, good stable information regarding wrapping hay, its benefits, and misconceptions and to present a line of wrappers that are the industry’s leading for its reliability, speed and durability in both the inline and single Balewrapper.
To repeat some of the important information that Bernard teaches during these seminars, here is a list of questions he asks participants:
  • Do you want to work more?
  • Do you want to spend more MONEY on FUEL?
  • Do you want to waste at least 25% of your hay?
  • Do you want less production in your herd?
  • Do you want to pay more for grain to feed your cattle?
If you answered NO to these Questions, than WRAPPING HAY IS THE SOLUTION.
Bernard discusses the right time to mow, which is during the Vegetative stage before the heads have begun to emerge, how to test the moisture of your hay with just your microwave (see Blog called “Test Moisture of Hay with 100% Accuracy for full details) and the cost savings and nutrition value of wrapping hay vs letting your hay sit outside.
Discussion about Tubeline inline bale wrappers including TL5000, 5500, 6500 and ECV units as well as the TL1000R single Balewrapper is included in Bernard’s talks.
